Anyone who has an email address knows just how much of a pain it can be to get spam email all the time. Unfortunately, sometimes it seems like we get a lot more spam than we do legitimate emails. Often, we can actually stop the spam by requesting that no more emails be sent to your address from a particular sender. Other times, it can be a lot more difficult to stop these unwanted emails from coming, especially when the sender is not including any name that you can use as a contact.

How Does an Email Search Work?
Email search is really easy to use, and there are many websites that offer this type of service for free. All you have to do is visit one of the email search websites, and enter the email address in question. The site will do a reverse email lookup, which can provide you with all kinds of information about the sender of the email, including the name that they are registered under with their email provider. You can also try going right to the website where the email was originally sent from, and the administrators can do an email search for you. This is not something that you can get with all websites, only the larger email providers, such as Yahoo!
What Information Does an Email Search Provide?
In addition to finding out the registered name of the users who are sending you unwanted emails, there is other information you can get from doing a reverse email search. Often, you will be able to find out the geographical location where the emails are being sent from, and sometimes you can even get the sender's IP address, which can really be helpful if it gets to the point where you have to take legal action and need to know how to find the sender. Also, when you have the IP address, you can try to match that address to IP addresses in the email header, and you will know if the email is spam or not. You can then report this, and put an end to this particular scam for everyone receiving emails from this sender.
